There are many species of Hoodia. Only one, Hoodia Gordonii, contains the P57 molecule. This plant is only found in South Africa and Namibia and is covered by national conservation laws.Only South African Hoodia contains P57.
Any manufacturer of a genuine Hoodia Gordonii product must have a certificate from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) of Wild Flora and Fauna.
Only companies with a genuine CITES certificate are selling genuine South African Hoodia Gordonii containing the P57 molecule.
The internet has an unfortunate history of unscrupulous websites selling fake Hoodia pills that contain zero P57.
